Based on the school's educational orientation and the goal of building a "double first-class" university, we aim to cultivate high-quality talents with a firm and correct political orientation, a strong sense of social responsibility, profound humanistic knowledge, solid professional expertise, a broad international perspective, and innovative spirit and practical ability. We strive to nurture professionals who can engage in mental health education, psychological counseling and treatment, community psychological work, human resource management practices, and related scientific research in various human resource management departments, educational institutions of all levels and types, and psychological counseling institutions.

Professional Features
This major is recognized as a national first-class and provincial first-class specialty, and was awarded the 5★ rating in the "China University and Discipline Evaluation Report" in 2021. Leveraging the first-level master's degree program in psychology and the professional degree program in applied psychology, and based on the disciplinary faculty strengths, we promote professional development through discipline construction. The faculty structure includes 91% with doctoral degrees, demonstrating strong scientific research capabilities. In recent years, there has been a significant increase in national, provincial, and ministerial-level projects and high-level papers, indicating robust discipline development momentum and remarkable achievements in professional construction. We emphasize student research and innovation training, achieving significant results in innovative talent cultivation. Focusing on cultivating students' research and innovation capabilities, we have established a psychology innovative talent cultivation model characterized by "project-team-platform", with undergraduates achieving outstanding results in high-level papers and Challenge Cup academic competitions. We adhere to a curriculum training system that emphasizes both basic theory and innovative practice. Leveraging regional development advantages, we have jointly established teaching practice bases with high-quality enterprises and institutions such as Fangtai Ningbo Company, Ningbo Kangning Hospital, and Ningbo Yinzhou Middle School, strengthening the collaborative education mechanism and achieving remarkable results.
Employment and Further Education
This major boasts a broad employment prospect and a high signing rate. Graduates primarily engage in mental health education for primary and secondary schools, human resource management in enterprises, and community psychological services. Our graduates excel in pursuing further studies abroad and obtaining master's degrees through recommended exemption. Over the past three years, the enrollment rate for further studies has consistently stood at 36%. Numerous graduates have been admitted to prestigious domestic universities such as Zhejiang University, Beijing Normal University, East China Normal University, Fudan University, Shenzhen University, South China Normal University, and Shanghai Normal University for graduate studies.
