0454 Master of Applied Psychology
The Master's degree program in Applied Psychology at Ningbo University was approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council in 2018 as a professional master's degree granting program. This program aims to cultivate high-level professionals with good political quality and professional ethics, who can apply psychological theoretical knowledge and professional skills to fields such as school education, mental health, enterprise management, and product design, and adapt to the socio-economic development of the region. This degree program is affiliated with the first-level discipline of psychology, and currently has three main research directions: clinical psychology and health promotion, student development and career education, and enterprise management and product design.
The degree program currently has 32 full-time teachers, including 9 professors (researchers) and 13 associate professors, as well as 20 master's degree supervisors. The doctoral degree holding rate among teachers reaches 96.8%. Among them, there is 1 second-tier talent under the Zhejiang Provincial 151 Talent Cultivation Project, 1 young talent under the Zhejiang Provincial Key Talent Plan, 3 Zhijiang Young Scholars of Zhejiang Province, and 2 Baoyugang Scholars of Ningbo University. In recent years, teachers in this degree program have been approved to host 18 national-level projects and 22 provincial and ministerial-level projects. They have published more than 15 papers in the authoritative journal "Acta Psychologica Sinica", over 30 papers in SCI and SSCI journals, over 50 papers in CSSCI journals, and 6 academic monographs. They have also won 1 Excellent Achievement Award in Philosophy and Social Sciences of Zhejiang Province. The discipline has an advanced psychology laboratory with an effective use area of 700 square meters and a total value of 6 million yuan for large-scale instruments and equipment. These include 2 sets of 64-channel electroencephalogram recording systems, 2 sets of 32-channel electroencephalogram recording systems, 2 sets of multi-type eye tracking systems, a 32-channel biofeedback recording system, a transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) system, and other large-scale scientific research instruments and equipment, providing an experimental platform and basic conditions for high-level scientific research. This degree program mainly enrolls students in the following three postgraduate training directions:
(1) The "Clinical Psychology and Health Promotion" direction aligns with the "Healthy China 2030" development outline, focusing on the psychological and behavioral issues of special populations (addiction withdrawal, social integration of disabled individuals, active aging) and subclinical populations. It explores the psychological problems and behavioral formation mechanisms of vulnerable groups, providing psychological evidence for mental health and harmonious society construction during the urbanization process in the social transformation period.
(2) The "Student Development and Career Education" direction aligns with the national quality education project, focusing on social hot topics such as students' learning psychology, problematic behaviors, and career development in school education. It explores key issues such as students' moral and social development, language reading, and career development, providing practical guidance for school psychological education, teacher quality improvement, and student mental health issues.
(3) The "Enterprise Management and Product Design" track aligns with the needs of modern enterprises and economic and social development. This track focuses on cultivating students' theoretical knowledge and practical skills in human resource management (risk decision-making), artificial intelligence and usability research, advertising and consumer psychology, providing scientific basis for enterprise management consulting, enterprise human resources, and product research and development.
