The Master's degree program in Education at Ningbo University was approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council in 2007 as a professional master's degree granting program. It aims to cultivate high-quality educators for primary and secondary schools and kindergartens who possess modern educational theories and strong practical and research abilities in education and teaching. The program encompasses 11 fields, including educational management, subject teaching (Chinese), subject teaching (mathematics), subject teaching (chemistry), subject teaching (physics), subject teaching (English), subject teaching (geography), modern educational technology, primary education, mental health education, and preschool education. The discipline of education under this degree program is a key discipline in Zhejiang Province, a first-class construction discipline in Zhejiang Province, and a key discipline in Ningbo City. The discipline boasts a strong faculty with more than 60 full-time teachers and over 50 part-time mentors, including more than 20 full professors, over 30 associate professors, and more than 30 individuals with doctoral degrees. In recent years, the faculty has undertaken more than 20 national-level projects and over 100 provincial and ministerial-level projects, with a total funding of over 5 million yuan. They have published more than 360 high-quality academic papers, including over 100 papers indexed by CSSCI, and authored over 30 books. Additionally, they have received more than 10 provincial and ministerial-level awards.
