5100 Education (Professional Degree)
Doctoral Program in Professional Degree is divided into three areas: school curriculum and teaching, educational leadership and management, and student development and education. The discipline of education currently has 111 full-time teachers and 32 doctoral supervisors, including 22 provincial and ministerial-level talents and above, such as members of the Discipline Evaluation Group of the State Council (Pedagogy), young talents of the National Major Talent Project, experts with special government allowances from the State Council, members of the Teaching Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Education for Higher Education Institutions, leaders of the Zhejiang Provincial Key Talent Project, specially-appointed professors of the Qianjiang Scholars Program in Zhejiang Province, chief experts of the "Horizon Project", and candidates for the Zhejiang Provincial 151 Talent Program. In the past five years, the program has hosted a total of 34 projects, including the National Social Science Fund, among which there are 1 key project of the National Social Science Fund, 1 major key project of philosophy and social sciences of the Ministry of Education, and 1 project selected into the National Library of Philosophy and Social Sciences Achievements. In the past five years, over 100 papers have been published in SSCI journals and 182 papers in CSSCI journals, including 19 papers published in "Educational Research" and "Acta Psychologica Sinica", and 3 papers reprinted in full by "Xinhua Digest". In 2014, the program won 1 first prize and 1 second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award; 9 excellent achievement awards for scientific research in higher education institutions from the Ministry of Education, including 3 second prizes and 6 third prizes (including the Youth Award); 3 excellent achievement awards for educational science from the 5th and 6th National Education Science Awards, including 1 first prize, 1 second prize, and 1 third prize; and 14 excellent achievement awards for philosophy and social sciences in Zhejiang Province, including 1 first prize, 10 second prizes, and 3 Youth Awards.
01 School Curriculum and Teaching
The training objective of the school curriculum and teaching field is to cultivate advanced specialized talents in the field of school curriculum and teaching who are versatile and professional in basic education. The main research directions are: (1) theoretical and practical research on school curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation. (2) research on subject teaching theory and its application.
02 Student Development and Education
The training goal in the field of student development and education is to cultivate compound and professional senior specialized talents who are suitable for engaging in ideological and moral education, mental health education, and student management work in schools of all levels and types. The main research directions are: (1) theoretical and practical research on adolescent mental health education. (2) theoretical research on college students' learning and development. (3) theoretical and practical research on ideological and political.
03 Educational Leadership and Management
The training objective in the field of educational leadership and management is to cultivate senior specialized talents in composite and professional leadership and management for schools of all levels and types. The main research directions (covering schools of all levels and types as well as educational administrative departments) include: (1) theoretical and practical research on school educational leadership. (2) research on innovative mechanisms for school educational policies and management. (3) research on reforms and safeguard systems for school talent cultivation.
